Brockton To Hold Drug Drop-Off Day On Saturday

Brockton police will college expired and unused medication at the Belair Towers from 9 to 11 a.m.

BROCKTON, MA — LinkUp Brockton will host a safe drug, drop-off day on Saturday at the Belair Towers community room on Belair Street. Those who have unused or expired medications and prescription drugs are invited to drop them off between 9 and 11 a.m. for proper disposal.

Expired or unused drugs in the home not only pose a danger for those who find them and decide to try or sell them, but improper disposal — such as flushing them down the toilet — leads to the drugs seeping into the water supply and soil around water sources.

The event will be held in conjunction Brockton police, Brewster EMS and the Brockton Mayor's Office. The Brockton Area Prevention Collaborative and the Brockton Housing Authority are also helping with the event.
