Brockton Man Attempted to Throw Rock at Officer: Police
Police say the incident happened during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

BROCKTON, MA - A Brockton man was taken into custody Tuesday morning after allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Ivandro Rodrigues, 19, was arrested during a traffic stop on East Main Street by East Battles Street and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to signal, according to the Brockton Police Log.
During the traffic stop, Rodrigues was asked to step out of his car, according to the Enterprise. After the officer noticed a knife in Rodrigues’ pocket, he confiscated it and searched for more weapons.

Angry, Rodrigues allegedly approached the officer with clenched fists when he was told his car was going to be towed. He was knocked to the ground and attempted to throw a rock off the ground before he was taken into custody.
