Brockton Man Charged In Fatal Double Shooting: DA
The accused, 38-year-old Justelino Resende of Brockton, appeared in Brockton District Court Tuesday.
BROCKTON, MA—A Brockton man has been held without bail on charges in the shooting death of his 14-year-old stepson and shooting of his partner, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced in a news release Tuesday.
The accused, 38-year-old Justelino Resende of Brockton, appeared in Brockton District Court Tuesday, where he pleaded not guilty to one count each of murder and possession of a firearm, and two counts of assault with attempt to murder, officials said.
Brockton Police responded to a report of a shooting on Tribou Street at around 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, when they found 14 year-old Nehemiah Cepeda and his mother, 39-year-old Felicia Cepeda Williams, with gunshot wounds, officials said.

Both were taken to separate hospitals, where the teen died and his mother is still being treated, officials said.
Brockton Police found Resende at a home in the 200 block of Grafton Street and took him into custody without incident, officials said. He is next scheduled to appear in court on April
27.
