Brockton Man Charged With Inciting A Riot Held Without Bail
The District Attorney's Office said Jason Andrade exposed himself and was in a group of people who threw rocks at police on June 2.
BROCKTON, MA — A Brockton man charged with inciting a riot after police accused him of exposing himself in public and being part of a group that threw rocks at officers the night of June 2 was ordered held without bail on Thursday.
District Attorney Timothy Cruz's office said Jason Andrade, 30, was accused in taking part in what it called the "riot" that occurred on June 2 after a peaceful protest during the early evening hours grew tense in front of the Brockton Police Station.
Andrade is charged with one count of inciting a riot, failure to disperse from a riot, disturbing the peace, open and gross lewdness, assault with a dangerous weapon, interfering with police and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Judge Michael Vitali ruled Thursday that Andrade posed a dangerous threat to the Brockton Police Department and the community and that he should be held without bail until his next hearing on July 16.
