Brockton Man Faces Weapon Charges in Norton
Drew A. Beck, 27, pleaded innocent to unlawful possession of a high-capacity firearm and possession of a stolen handgun

ATTLEBORO, MA - A Brockton man had a stolen gun inside a car during a traffic stop on Interstate 495 in Norton, police said.
Drew A. Beck, 27, pleaded innocent to unlawful possession of a high-capacity firearm, possession of a stolen handgun, and a marked lanes violation, according to the Sun Chronicle. He was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing during his arraignment in Attleboro District Court Monday.
Beck was taken into custody just before midnight Friday during a traffic stop. Police pulled over the car, which had New Jersey license plates.

Beck was arrested just before midnight Friday, shortly after police stopped a car with New Jersey license plates Beck was driving on I-495 North, just north of the Bay Street exit, according to state police. During the stop, Beck allegedly moved around the car as if he was trying to hide something, Police allegedly found the loaded gun under the passenger seat. It was reported stolen in October 2013 out of Stoughton.
Beck was originally held on $5,000 bail after the arrest, which he posted.
