Brockton Man Gets 10 Years for Killing Father

BROCKTON, MA — A Brockton man will spend the next 10 years of his life in jail for fatally stabbing his father, Joaopedro Goncalves, with a knife in 2004.
Amilton Goncalves, 23, was found guilty of manslaughter and assault and battery. He will have two years of probation following his release, according to The Enterprise.
On June 23, Amilton stabbed his father following an argument over loud music that was played very late at night. Joaopedro, said he would call the police about it, with Amilton threatening to kill his father if the police were called.

When Joaopedro called police, Amilton punched his mother twice, who was trying to block her son and stabbed his father on the law.
