Brockton Man Hits For $1 Million On Scratch Ticket

BROCKTON, MA - A Brockton man told Massachusetts State Lottery officials he plans to buy a house after hitting for the $1 million prize in the "100K" instant game. Helder Alves bought the winning $10 ticket at The Variety Store on Mazzeo Drive in Randolph.

Alves chose the one-time cash payout option of $650,000. Three $1 million prizes and two $4 million prizes have yet to be claimed in the "100K" game.

The Variety Store will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
