Brockton Man Killed In Belmont Street Shooting
The District Attorney's Office said a 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at Brockton's Good Samaritan Hospital.
BROCKTON, MA — The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said Brockton police and State Police are investigating a shooting on Belmont Street that killed a city man Saturday night. The DA's Office said Sunday morning Ailson Barbosa, 22, died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The DA's Office said police responded to the area of 117 Belmont Street shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday to a report of multiple gunshots. Police found Barbosa suffering from gunshot wounds and took him to Good Samaritan, where he was pronounced dead.
Brockton police contacted State Police assigned to the DA's Office to at the outset of the investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Brockton police at 508-894-2600.
