Brockton Man Killed in Route 24 Crash

AVON, MA — a serious crash on Route 24 in Avon has taken the life of a Brockton man, police said.

On Feb. 27 at about 9:22 p.m., police responded to a multi-vehicle crash near exit 18 on the northbound side of the highway.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2006 Hyundai Tiburo was passing other vehicles using multiple lanes when the driver lost control and struck a 2015 Volkswagon GTI.

The driver, a 20-year-old man from Brockton, was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
