Brockton Man Kills Himself After Stabbing Wife

BROCKTON, MA — A man who police say stabbed and seriously injured his wife was found dead hours later.

Friday night, police responded to a report of a woman who wasstabbed on Otis Street. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and is in critical, but stable condition, according to WBZ.

Hours later, the woman's husband, identified as Antonio Goncalves, was found dead in the woods. A knife was found nearby that appeared consistent with the woman's injuries.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's office has determined the death to be a suicide.
