Brockton Man Sent to Prison for Attleboro Robbery

Jerry Antius was found guilty of armed robbery with a firearm while masked and assault with a deadly weapon.

ATTLEBORO, MA - A Brockton man will spend the next eight to 12 years in prison for robbing a supermarket in 2013.

Jerry Antius, 22, of Brockton was sentenced Friday in Fall River Superior Court, according to the Sun Chronicle. Last week, he was found guilty of armed robbery with a firearm while masked and assault with a deadly weapon.

According to prosecutors, Antius jumped over the service desk at Seabra Market and held a gun to the head of an employee who was counting money. While fleeing, Antius dropped his cell phone.

Antius will start his sentence after he completes a five-year term for carjacking an elderly woman.
