Brockton Native Announces Intent to Run Against DuBois

Robert Taylor has announced a bid to unseat State Rep. Michell DuBois.

BROCKTON, MA — The 2018 election is nearly a year and a half away, but that's not stopping one Brockton native from announcing his candidacy for state rep.

Robert Taylor, who currently lives in Abington, told the Enterprise that he will run as an independent against Democrat State Rep. Michelle DuBois. Taylor said that DuBois' post about a rumored ICE raid in Brockton pushed him to run for office.

Taylor has not lived in Brockton for 10 years and does not reside in the district, meaning that he will have to return Brockton or move to West Bridgewater or a precinct in East Bridgewater to run for office.
