Brockton Police Charge Driver With Fentanyl, Heroin Trafficking

Brockton police said they seized more than $14,000 in fentanyl and heroin from a reckless driver on Friday night.

BROCKTON, MA — A motor vehicle accident turned into an arrest and the seizure of more than $14,000 worth of heroin and fentanyl in Brockton on Friday. Brockton police said Nicholas Resendes, of Brockton, was charged with fentanyl and heroin trafficking, resisting arrest and motor vehicle violations.

Brockton police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries near the intersection of Summer Street and Grove Street on Friday about 10 p.m. After an investigation of the scene, Brockton police charged Resendes, 24, with fentanyl trafficking more than 10 grams, heroin trafficking more than 100 grams, speeding, negligent operation of a vehicle, resisting arrest and failure to stop or yield/creating gridlock.
