Brockton Police Officers Cleared in 2015 Shooting
The AG's office says that due to the situation, the shooting was justified.

BROCKTON, MA — Two Brockton police officers involved in a July 2015 fatal shooting will not face charges from the state Attorney General's office.
In a report released Thursday, the office ruled that Richard Gaucher and John Sturdevant fired their weapons in a lawful and proper exercise of self-defense, according to the Enterprise.
On July 2, 2015 at 1 a.m., police arrived to the home of Douglas Buckley on Thayer Street. Police were confronted by a man with an extremely realistic looking firearms and threatened to burn down the house.

Officers told Buckley to put down the gun but he said he wanted to die and he was going to kill them while pointing the gun at the officers. The AG's office says that due to the situation, the shooting was justified.
