Brockton Resident to Star in FARRAGUT NORTH

Brockton Resident to Star in FARRAGUT NORTH

MOONSTRUCK THEATER COMPANY is pleased to present FARRAGUT NORTH, opening Friday, April 1st, and running for four performances through Sunday, April 3rd.

Stephen Bellamy is the wunderkind press secretary for Democratic candidate for president Governor Morris. He has built a career that men twice his age would envy but, during a tight presidential primary race, Stephen's meteoric rise falls prey to the backroom politics of more seasoned operatives. FARRAGUT NORTH is a fast-paced drama about the lust for power and the costs one will endure to achieve it.

"The question you gotta ask yourself is whether you want friends, or whether you want to work for the President?"

FARRAGUT NORTH features 8 performers from the Greater Boston area, including Brockton resident Christopher Crossen-Sills who plays Paul Zara, Governor Morris’ tough, crass, and terrifyingly strategic campaign manager.

“I've been a fan of this show for years - it's really brilliantly written, witty, and dark. It's such a roller coaster ride of a show. I was excited to audition for it, just to throw my hat into the ring,” says Crossen-Sills. “FARRAGUT NORTH is such a fantastic play that is rarely done and so relevant to the current presidential race we are seeing around us. It's like looking into the kitchen of your favorite restaurant, you might not like what you see. It's got all the underpinnings that people like to watch - gossip, scandals, backstabbing - and it's brutally real at times. Really engaging, never slow.”

Crossen-Sills has been acting since high school, noting that his favorite role he has played is David Frost in Curtain Call's production of Frost/Nixon. “David Frost was such a complex and fascinating character to embody. Also, I had the honor of working with a fantastic Nixon - there was real camaraderie between the two of us. I've been blessed to find actors in my life that are so much fun to act with but those real relationships really bring out stronger performances and we really nailed it.” When not onstage himself, Chris teaches at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School and works as the lifeguard trainer, pool supervisor and a manager of the building for the Hanover YMCA.

FARRAGUT NORTH is directed by Emma Watt. The production will be presented at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA, in the Black Box Theater. Advance tickets are $21 for general admission and $18 for senior citizens and students. Tickets purchased at the door are $25 for general admission and $21 for senior citizens and students.
