Brockton Store Sells $1 Million Lottery Ticket

BROCKTON, MA — A Lakeville man won $1 million off a $5 scratch ticket he bought at a 7 Eleven in Brockton.

James Chisholm won on the“Emerald 8’s” instant game ticket he bought at the 7 Eleven at 411 Pleasant Street. Chisholm chose the cash option on his prize and was awarded a one-time payment of $650,000 after taxes.

The Brockton store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. This was the first $1 millon ticket sold for the “Emerald 8’s” game. The Mass Lottery said there are still four more out there.
