Brockton Toddler Found Unresponsive Has Died

The child spend several days Massachusetts General Hospital before dying.

BROCKTON, MA — A toddler who was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive at his home has died.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's office told the Enterprise that the toddler passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Last Monday, a 2-year-old boy was found unresponsive and remains in the hospital as of Thursday night. The Plymouth County District Attorney's office told the Boston Globe that the East Main Street toddler was initially taken to a hospital in Brockton before being transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital.

The Brockton Police Department said that they were told by the mother's boyfriend that the child's injuries were possibly from falling off a bed or an accident.

A spokesman for the Department of Children and Families said they are investigating.
