Brockton Woman Charged with Home Invasion in Dennis
Anita Carter was ordered held on $10,000 bail at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility.

BROCKTON, MA - A Brockton woman was ordered held on bail after allegedly assaulting a couple in their Dennis apartment.
Anita Carter was ordered held on $10,000 bail at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility, according to the Cape Cod Times. She is charged with home invasion. She pleaded not guilty.
On April 16, Carter allegedly entered the apartment through a rear window after banging on the front door and yelling that she had a gun. Carter allegedly punched the victim in the face and let another person, William Connors in through the front door to punch a male victim. The two attacked the male victim and the female victim was punched as the two were leaving.

The couple was allegedly targeted because the male victim's cousin rejected Cater after the two met online and at a party.
Connors was arrested on April 18 while police were tipped off to Carter's location on April 20.
