Brockton Woman Saved from 2-Alarm Blaze
The woman was rescued from her Oak Street Extension apartment.

Brockton, MA — A cigarette may have been the cause of a fire in an apartment on Oak Street Extension.
Early Sunday morning, firefighters in Brockton saved a woman from the burning apartment. She was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Enterprise.
The fire started at about 3 p.m. Fire officials believe the cause may be smoking. An ashtray was discovered on a foot rest in her living room.
