Brockton Woman Shot Outside Taco Bell: Police

BROCKTON, MA—Police say a Brockton woman was shot in the head as she sat in the driver's seat of her car in the parking lot of Taco Bell on Belmont Street early Monday morning.

The 27-year-old victim, who has not been identified, was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 1:12 a.m. and immediately began treating the woman for a gunshot would to the head, according to police. A preliminary investigation reveals that the shooting happened while she was parked and sitting in the driver's seat of her vehicle.

Investigators say another vehicle was struck by the bullet as well, but no other injuries were reported.
