Bullets Strike Car Near Tremont Street In Brockton

This was not the first incident of recent gunfire near Tremont Street. There's been three other​ shootings reported since May 2017.

BROCKTON, MA — Eight gunshots were fired near Tremont Street in Brockton Thursday night, one of which struck a car.

Shotspotter, a citywide gunfire detection system, alerted police to the gunfire around 9:40 p.m. Police also received two 911 calls, following the shots.

When officers arrived, they did not immediately find shell casings, police told the Brockton Enterprise. After searching the intersection at Tremont Street and Warren Avenue, police found several shells near the intersection.
