Cat Saved From Overnight Brockton Fire

There were no human injuries, either.

BROCKTON, MA – A fire broke out at a two-family home in Brockton overnight, reports say. The blaze was first reported around 2:46 a.m. at 70 Dover Street.

Both families made it out of the home safely, but firefighters had to rescue a cat that was hiding in a closet. One of the people was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation but did not go to the hospital, according to NBC Boston.

Officials told NBC Boston preliminary estimates indicate the fire caused about $25,000 in damages.
