WATER MAIN FLUSHING

The Brockton Utilities Division will conduct a water main flushing program starting September 13, 2021 and continue through September 30, 2021.  The majority of the work will be done between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.  The activity will cause discolored water in varying degrees in all sections of the city.  Persons who experience water discoloration should clear their water systems by opening the cold water faucet for several minutes and then wait about an hour.  If water is still not clear, they should repeat the flushing procedure.  Every effort will be made to keep inconvenience to the users at a minimum.  The Public Works Department – Utilities Division cannot be responsible for any damages incurred as a result of the activity, which is a necessary and normal maintenance function.  Should further information be desired, please call 508-580-7865 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

WEEK 1

Notice is hereby given that starting Monday, September 13, 2021 the areas to be flushed are the streets starting at Court Street, north to East Ashland Street, N. Montello Street, east to the Abington line, and all streets in between.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Tuesday, September 14, 2021 the areas to be flushed are the streets starting at E. Ashland Street, north to the Holbrook line, N. Montello Street, east to the Abington line, and all streets in between.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Wednesday, September 15, 2021 the areas to be flushed are the streets starting at E. Ashland Street, north to Holbrook line, N Montello Street, east to the Abington line, and all streets in between.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Thursday, September 16, 2021 the areas to be flushed are the streets starting at Court Street, south to Crescent Street, Montello Street, east to Abington line, and all streets in between.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Friday, September 17, 2021; the areas to be flushed are the streets starting at Crescent Street, south to Perkins Ave. and Edson Street, Montello Street, east to Whitman line, and all streets in between.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

WEEK 2

Notice is hereby given that starting Monday, September 20, 2021; the areas to be flushed are the streets starting at Perkins Avenue, south to the W Bridgewater line, Montello Street, east to the E. Bridgewater line, and all streets in between.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Tuesday, September 21, 2021 the areas to be flushed are all streets between Montello Street and Main Street, from the Avon line, south to the W. Bridgewater line, and all streets in between.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Wednesday, September 22, 2021, the areas to be flushed are all streets bounded by Warren Avenue and N. Warren Avenue on the west, Main Street and N. Main Street on the east, the W. Bridgewater line on the south and the Avon line on the north. The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Thursday, September 23, 2021, the areas to be flushed are all streets bounded by Pleasant Street on the south, the Avon line on the north, N. Warren Avenue and N. Main Street on the east and the Stoughton line on the west.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

WEEK 3

Notice is hereby given that starting Monday, September 27, 2021, the areas to be flushed are the streets bounded by Belmont Street on the north, the West Bridgewater line on the south, Warren Avenue on the East, and the Easton line on the west.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Tuesday September 28, 2021, the areas to be flushed are the streets bounded by Belmont Street on the north, the West Bridgewater line on the south, Warren Avenue on the East and the Easton line on the west.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Wednesday, September 29, 2021, the areas to be flushed are the streets bounded by Belmont Street on the south, Pleasant Street on the north, Warren Avenue on the east and the Easton line on the west.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that starting Thursday, September 30, 2021, the areas to be flushed are the streets bounded by Belmont Street on the south, Pleasant Street on the north, Warren Avenue on the east and the Easton line on the west.  The flushing will take place between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
