City Council Proposes Raise for School Committee Members
The School Committee members would each receive a $2,000 stipend increase.
BROCKTON, MA — A proposal from Councilor-at-large Winthrop Farwell would have the seven members of the Brockton School Committee at $2,000 raise.
Tuesday night, the Brockton City Council Ordinance Committee voted to send the proposed stipend increase to the full council, the Enterprise reported. The total cost would be $14,000.
The last increase came in 1998, Farwell said.
