“City Kids” Presents Laptops to High Achieving Brockton Students
Brockton High School graduates honored at Columbus Avenue AME Zion Church in Boston
BROCKTON, MA (August 17, 2018) - City Kids, a youth education nonprofit program developed by City Realty, donated Chromebook laptop computers to three high achieving students from Brockton at the Columbus Avenue AME Zion Church in Boston on Sunday.
The three Brockton High School graduates are all continuing their education in the fall. Warrell Isaiah Meade and Xavier Bester are both attending Massasoit Community College. While Alexis Bester will attend UMass-Amherst.
This donation is part of the City Kids mission to provide educational resources and opportunities for children growing up in Boston’s inner city neighborhoods. City Kids was created by Steve Whalen and Fred Starikov. To date, the program has donated over 500 laptops to local schools and educational programs.
