Dr. Gary Hylander to present "Give 'em Hell, Harry"
The Twentieth Century Catholic Women's Club invites you to hear local favorite, Gary Hylander. Tuesday, April 12, 7:00 p.m.

The 1948 “whistle-stop” election was the first presidential election after the war and the first since Roosevelt’s death. The election of 1948 still commands the imagination of the nation. A feisty Truman ran and won a fabled upset victory over Governor Thomas Dewey. On the morning after the election a grinning Truman held over his head for all to see the headline of the Chicago Tribune ’Dewey Defeats Truman." Twentieth Century Catholic Women's Club meetings are held in the church hall of Our Lady of Lourdes, 439 West St., Brockton (across from fairgrounds). All are welcome to attend this presentation and new members are always welcome. Founded in 1905, the Club's mission is to further educational, social and charitable endeavors. The Club awards college scholarships to local students every year, and supports charitable non-profit organizations regularly.
