William Hayes, 48, was issued a summons for operating under the influence of liquor.

BROCKTON, MA — A Brockton man faces charges after allegedly crashing into a utility pole early Monday morning.
William Hayes, 48, was issued a summons for operating under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seat belt and marked lanes violation.
Police tell the Enterprise that a vehicle driven by Hayes slammed into a pole on North Montello Street, breaking it half.
