EAST BRIDGEWATER, MA — Fire officials responded to a serious fire on Beaver Village Way in East Bridgewater at 9:40 a.m. Monday.

One person, identified as 86-year-old Bernadino Pellegrino, has died, officials have confirmed.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a fire on a riding lawn mower lit the victim's clothing on fire and caused the house blaze, according to WBZ.
The fire remains under investigation.
