Elderly Man in Burning Apartment Saved by Brockton Fire (VIDEO)
The man was saved without a moment to spare.

BROCKTON, MA — An elderly man was saved from a burning apartments Tuesday afternoon only minutes after flames blasted out of the window he was carried out of.
At 4:05 p.m., p.m., Brockton fire received several calls for a report of a man trapped on his apartment balcony by a fire.Video from the scene show Lt. Christopher O'Reilly and firefighter Zachary David entering the apartment to grab the man while firefighter Benjamin Denny used an extinguisher to protect the firefighters and victim. Before the last firefighter can fully leave the apartment, the flames start to cover the exit.
The dramatic rescue was caught on camera. Be advised that there is some strong language.

The victim suffered major burns and was transported to a hospital. O'Reilly and Davis suffered second degree burns and were transported to Massachusetts General Hospital.
Investigators believe the fire was accidental and started in the kitchen. The cause remains under investigation.

At least 30 people were displaced by the fire.
