Fall River Man Charged in Brockton Murder

BROCKTON, MA - A Fall River man has been charged in connection to a murder that took place in Brockton Tuesday.

Hebert Dossantos, 21, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, unlawful carrying of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and malicious damage to a motor vehicle, according to the Enterprise.

Police responded to gunshots that were fired on Summer Street around 8:13 p.m. and were alerted to a man that was in the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital.

Police believe the incident was not random.
