Fire Leads to Manhole Explosions in Brockton

Parts of Brockton were hit with manhole explosions Monday.

BROCKTON, MA — Parts of Brockton were hit with manhole explosions Monday.

The first report came in on Main Street just past midnight, Brockton Deputy Fire Chief Brian Nardelli told the Boston Globe. Firefighters discovered fires in six manholes on Maple Avenue and Main Street.

No injuries were reported and no residents or buildings lost power.
