Five Saved From Burning Brockton Building

The Brockton Fire Department saved five people located inside an abandoned commercial building Wednesday night.

BROCKTON, MA — The Brockton Fire Department saved five people located inside an abandoned commercial building Wednesday night.

Captain Shawn Kerr told the Boston Globe that three people were trapped on the roof of the two-story building that was in flames. Two more were on the first floor. Four people were taken to the hospital.

The fire started on the second floor of the building before spreading to the walls and roof. The cause is under investigation.
