BROCKTON, MA — A Gloucester man will be issued a summons after police said he crashed his station wagon into another car, while he was under the influence of drugs, and injured the other driver.

On Saturday, Steven Cunningham, 40, was driving on Summer Street. Police said Cunningham veered to the other side of the road and collided with a 2013 Kia. The crash sent the driver, a 73-year-old, to Brockton Hospital with a head injury, police told the Brockton Enterprise.

Police said Cunningham appeared to be under the influence of drugs, showing signs including slow speech and "pinpoint pupils." Cunningham was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and will be issued a summons upon release.
