Gunpoint Robber Demanded Newport Cigarettes, Cash: Police
At about 11 p.m., the Tedeschi Food Shops on East Ashland Street was robbed at gunpoint, just before closing time.

BROCKTON, MA — A man believed to be a serial robber struck again Friday night.
At about 11 p.m., the Tedeschi Food Shops on East Ashland Street was robbed at gunpoint, just before closing time. The Enterprise reports that the suspect demanded money and Newport cigarettes.
Police say the robbery was similar to a series of incidents that have taken place on the north side of the city and Abington.

The suspect is described as a 35-year-old black man with a stocky build, black clothes, black mask and black gloves. He fled in a black or blue four-door vehicle.
