Hoax Call Demands $20,000 to Prevent Hostage Shooting

Police traced the call to a home near Brockton High School.

BROCKTON, MA - Police received a call Thursday night from a man who he would kill hostages unless he received $20,000.

About 20 officers responded to the call, according to the Enterprise. The officers responded to a house near Brockton High School.

When police contacted the homeowner, who was not home, she gave police her keys to enter the premises. No one was inside the house, resulting in a hoax.
