Man Jumps From Window During Brockton Fire

BROCKTON, MA — An early morning fire on Field Street led to a man jumping from a window to escape the flames. Brockton Fire Chief Brian Nardelli told The Boston Globe that firefighters saw the man jump from the second floor when they responded to the fire shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The man was not seriously injured. Another woman was treated for smoke inhalation at a local hospital. Five people were displaced.
