Man Shot, Bullet-Riddled SUV Found Outside Brockton Hospital: PD
Police said they found a bullet-riddled SUV abandoned in the Brockton Hospital parking lot after a man was dropped off with gunshot wounds.
BROCKTON, MA — A bullet-riddled SUV was found abandoned in the Brockton Hospital parking lot Thursday morning after a man was dropped off with gunshot wounds, according to police. At 1:38 a.m., police were called to West Chesnut Street after reports of nearby gunfire.
Police said officers didn't find evidence of a shooting there, but did find 25 shell casing close by on Fulton Street and a Volkswagen on Tremont Street that had its windshield shattered by bullets.
Police later learned a 21-year-old man was brought to Brockton Hospital after suffering gunshot wounds. Hospital security told police they saw a Dodge Durango leave the area after the man was dropped off in the emergency room. Police said they found the bullet-riddled SUV in the parking lot and confiscated it to review evidence.
