The Brockton Fire Department responded to a 2-Alarm fire at 144 Main St., according to the Brockton Emergency Management Agency. A fire was reported in three manholes. 132 to 162 Main St. was evacuated and the road is closed.

Brockton Mayor Bill Carpenter told WFXT that at least three manholes exploded. A car at one location caught on fire.

National Grid told WHDH that a secondary power line located underground caught on fire and the situation appears to be under control.
