Multi-Town Chase Drives Through Brockton

Police took James Joyce, 41 of Halifax, into custody in Randolph.

BROCKTON, MA — A Halifax man took police on a chase through seven towns, including Brockton, police said.

James Joyce, 41, will likely face charges of driving to endanger, auto theft, and assault and battery on a police officer.

WHDH reports that the chase went through Halifax, East Bridgewater, Whitman, Hanson, Brockton, Holbrook and Randolph, ending in a crash with a police cruiser on Route 28. Following the crash, he was taken to the hospital and is scheduled to be arraigned in court.
