New Charges For Brockton Teen Charged With Taking Car From Dealer
The teen will now face charges from the Sharon Police Department in addition to the Whitman Police Department.

BROCKTON, MA — A Brockton teens arrested in Whitman following a vehicle theft from a car dealer now faces charges from Sharon Police, police said. The 15-year-old was charged with numerous driving violations and will be arraigned at a later date, according to the Sharon Police Department.
At about 11:22 p.m. on Dec. 3, a Sharon officer observed a black sports car go through a red light in Sharon Center. After the officer activated her emergency lights, the suspect's vehicle turned into a neighborhood on South Pleasant Street and pulled into a driveway. As she was preparing to approach this vehicle, it quickly backed up and drove over the resident’s lawn passing closely by her cruiser as it fled onto Station Street, police said.
The vehicle was later seen on Norwood Street, allegedly traveling at 80 mph. Police were able to obtain a registration plate number before breaking off the pursuit due to the high rate of speed.

A short time later during the early hours of Dec. 4, a Whitman Police officer on patrol saw a 2011 white Dodge Charger and 2011 black BMW SE driving down Washington Street. Both vehicles appeared to be damaged and had bright yellow dealership stickers on the windshields. Neither vehicle had license plates.
When the officer attempted to pull the vehicles over, the drivers fled at a high rate of speed in different directions. The teen was later arrested and was arraigned on the Whitman charges. Following an investigation, it was determined that the vehicle in Sharon was involved in the Whitman incident.
