Price Rite Donates $69,706 to Greater Boston Food Bank
The donation is a result of funds raised during the supermarket chain's annual Check Out Hunger campaign.
From BML Public Relations:
Team members from Price Rite presented a check to representatives from the Greater Boston Food Bank for $69,706 as a result of funds raised during the supermarket chain’s annual Check Out Hunger campaign. From October – December 2015, Price Rite stores banded together to collect donations at checkout, raising over $500,000 for food banks across nine states in an effort to support the fight against hunger. The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England, and distributed more than 54 million pounds of food in 2015, enough to provide healthy meals to over 500,000 people.
