Proposed Brockton Charter School Fails to Make Cut

The "Entrepreneurial Village, a Commonwealth Charter School" was not invited by the state to the second stage of the application process.

BROCKTON, MA — A proposed elementary charter school to be located in Brockton has been denied a chance to move forward in the application process.

The “Entrepreneurial Village, a Commonwealth Charter School” was not invited by the state to the second stage of the application process, according to the Enterprise. The school's proposal was submitted by a nonprofit named the Direct Instruction Entrepreneurial Academy of Long Beach, Calif.

It's not known why the school didn't make it out of the first stage but the nonprofit has failed six times in four years to start a school in Long Beach.
