Regular Transaction At CVS Turns Into Armed Robbery

Police say the man bought a Pepsi and then returned to rob the cash register.

BROCKTON, MA — What appeared to be a regular transaction at the CVS on Main Street Thursday night was anything but that, police said.

At 11:58 p.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the pharmacy. The clerk told police that the suspect bought a drink, left, and walked back in and said he was going to continue to shop, according to the Enterprise.

After the man put some more items on the check out counter, the he attempted to take the cash register draw when it opened. After the clerk closed the register, the man took a gun out of his waistband, police said.
