BROCKTON, MA — Police and fire officials have asked for the public's help identifying the person responsible for an arson fire on Sinclair Road. The fire happened on July 18, and displaced three people, according to Brockton fire officials. Arson Watch offered a $5,000 reward for any one who knows who burned the house down.
The fire started around 2:30 a.m., and quickly grew out of control, with flames shooting out the windows and busting open walls. Firefighters extinguished the flames within 20 minutes, but not before the house became a total loss, sustaining $400,000 of damage, fire officials told the Brockton Enterprise. No injuries were reported.
State and local police said they investigated evidence of arson, including surveillance video of someone stopped in a car near the house prior to the fire. Vandals also recently shattered one of the windows.
