Taunton Man Found Guilty In Brockton Murder
Carlens Louis, 28, was convicted Monday on murder charges.

BROCKTON, MA — A Taunton man has been found guilty of a 2013 Brockton murder.
Carlens Louis, 28, was convicted Monday on charges of first degree murder under a theory of deliberate premeditation, armed assault with intent to under, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's office.
On April 22, 2013, officers in Brockton responded to a report of two people who were short. The two drove themselves to a local ambulance company and were taken to local hospitals. One victim, Vardley St. Felix of Brockton, was pronounced dead and a second victim, Stanley Damestoire, was treated for gunshot wounds to his hip.

Police determined through an investigation that the two victims and a third person were in a car on Coburn Street when a Jeep Cherokee pulled up next to the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Louis, pulled down his window and fired three shots into the other car. Louis was located inside a Seekonk motel and arrested. The weapon was located in a toilet tank.
Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 20.
