Teen Shot in Alleged Robbery Charged

A 15-year-old will face armed robbery charges.

BROCKTON, MA - A 15-year-old who allegedly tried to commit a robbery with a BB gun will face charges.

The teenage boy, whose name will not be released due to his age, was charged with armed robbery while masked, according to the Enterprise.

Police say the teen allegedly set up a fake ad for a dirtbike. When a prospective buyer arrived on Washburn Street to look at the bike Friday, the seller revealed a BB gun. The buyer then pulled out a real gun and shot the teen.

Police say the man in the real gun appeared to be acting in self-defense.
