Two From Brockton Charged in Elder Abuse Case Caught on Camera

Two workers have been fired for the incident and now face charges.

SHARON, MA — Two workers at a retirement community in Sharon face charges after allegedly abusing an elderly woman living at the facility.

Sharon police announced Wednesday that Domingas Teixeira, 61, and Leonide Jean Paul Bien-Aime, 49, both of Brockton, have been issued court summons for assault and battery on a person over 60 years old.

On March 7, several family members of a 93-year-old resident of the Wingate at Sharon told police that she was being physically abused by staff members. Hidden camera footage shows the two suspects forcefully moving the victim from a bed to a wheelchair and at one point, jerking her head back.
