UPDATES AND CLOSINGS: No School in Brockton Monday

Mayor Bill Carpenter has declared a snow emergency

BROCKTON, MA - Due to the upcoming snowstorm, Mayor Bill Carpenter has declared a snow emergency.

Due to the emergency, all Brockton Public Schools and City Hall will be closed Monday

The snow emergency will start at 5 a.m. Monday morning. No on-street parking will be allowed.

The following locations have been established as free off-street snow emergency parking lots, according to the Brockton Emergency Management Agency:

  • The parking lot on the east side of Montello Street between Crescent Street and White Avenue
  • Warren Ave lot on the west side of Warren Avenue between Belmont and Bartlett Streets
  • South Street lot near Main Street
  • Howard School located 837 North Main St.
  • Whitman School located at 25 Manomet S.
  • Edgar’s Playground on Dover Street

Any vehicle parked on a city street after 5 a.m. on Monday will be towed.
