Van with Dogs Stolen in Brockton Located in Portland
A van theft led to eight hours of panic for one dog owner.

BROCKTON, MA — For Brockton resident George Collins, it was bad enough when his van was stolen, but the fact that five dogs were inside the vehicle only made things worse.
Collins told the Boston Globe that he was doing some work at a Meadowbrook Road garage when he moved his car to the front so he could grab a license plate before leaving. When he returned to the front no more than two minutes later, the van, the four poodles, and papillon were gone.
Eight hours later in Portland, Maine, a person reported a van with possibly distressed dogs. Police in the area quickly realized that the van was stolen in Brockton.
