Victim Identified In Fatal Brockton Overnight Shooting
The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said Fabio Vega-Nunes, 21, died from gunshot wounds on Sprague Street early Tuesday morning.
BROCKTON, MA — A 21-year-old Brockton man has been identified as the victim of a fatal overnight shooting in Brockton. The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said Fabio Vega-Nunes was pronounced dead at the scene when police responded to a SpotShooter notification of gunshots on Sprague Street.
The DA's Office said that shortly before 1 a.m. Brockton police received the notification and responded to find Vega-Nunes in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshots. Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead.
Brockton police and State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth DA's Office are investigating the fatal shooting. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Brockton police or State Police detectives at 508-894-2600.
